Research and Planning: Main Task Script
Recurrence
Script:
Fade in
Establishing shot of a Victorian house
Tracking shot leading towards the house, and the camera tilts up to the front window to reveal a young girl looking out.
Shot changes to a mid shot in the room of the back of the girl, who is still looking out of the window.
The girl moves across to the centre of the room – the camera pans as the girl walks past to kneel in the centre of the room, surrounded by candles, she holds a set of rosary beads.
She starts to pray.
Girl: Our father, which art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us thus day our daily bread.
The camera shot changes to a point of view shot of someone opening the door and watching the girl you can hear her continuing to pray.
Girl: And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive them that trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil-
The camera shot changes to a close up of the girl’s face, in the back is the out of focus face of the killer. She turns her head the shot changes to another point of view of the killer.

RECURRENCE- appears on a blacked out screen as you hear the girl scream.

A long shot reveals a car moving up the driveway,

as the car drives past the camera pans to reveal the car parking at the front of the house.

Paul gets out of the car and shuts the door,

The camera stays on Lara for a few seconds until she sighs loudly and exits the car. The camera follows her exit.

Lara walks to meet Paul at the boot of the car.

Paul hands her a box.
Paul: Place it on the table in the hallway.
Camera moves to a tracking shot of Lara walking up to the house. She enters the house and places the box on the table in the hallway (there is emphasis on the box slamming.) She leaves the house again, camera tracks her as she moves back to the car, her dad hands her another box and she moves back in to the house. Point of view shot from Lara’s perspective showing that the box she originally placed in the hall way has moved from the table to further way along the floor. Paul enters from behind.
Paul: I thought I told you to put in on the table. ?

Lara: (under her breath) But I did.
